Our current representation severely fails to address the urgent concerns of education reform and women's and children's healthcare, leaving these vital sectors of our society neglected and underserved.

ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION
Because every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, one of my top priorities is to promote education. Understanding it is the cornerstone of a thriving and informed society. I will work to improve school systems, support educators, and advocate for equitable access to quality education. One of the most important tasks will be teacher retention and recruitment. I will work with our school districts, and parent groups to ensure we can do both. It is far better for our children to have educators who are committed to our schools and kids than having to replace a few dozen teachers every year due to lack of pay or other reasons
HEALTHCARE
Equally important to me is the promotion of accessible healthcare for all. No one should have to choose between their health and their financial stability. I will advocate for affordable and comprehensive healthcare options, ensuring everyone receives the care they need without facing exorbitant costs. This could take the form of Public/Private Partnerships or efforts at multi-agency bargaining for prescriptions. I am open to working with all parties to stabilize or reduce costs that eat so much of our monthly budgets.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
& INFRASTRUCTURE
Additionally, I want to prioritize economic development and infrastructure. I will work tirelessly to attract new businesses, foster innovation, and support entrepreneurs, to create a stronger and more prosperous local economy. One of the most overlooked aspects of this in Kent County is the value of a Public/Private Partnership. With citizen input and ideas, we can help transform Kent into a viable and sustainable alternative to either the Wilmington area or the beaches. It will mean being relentless in applying for Grants from private or industry groups as well as Federal dollars to upgrade and improve our infrastructure. It is my opinion that our current representation has overlooked this strategy to Kent County’s detriment. I will also partner with our local officials, City Councils, Town Managers, Mayors, and Levy Court to make as strong a presentation as possible to make sure that these dollars flow to Kent County.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Furthermore, I am committed to public safety, I stand firmly on the belief that every member of our community deserves to feel safe and secure in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods. I understand the vital role that public safety plays in creating a thriving community, and I am determined to prioritize and improve this fundamental aspect of our society. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I will meet with all the relevant stakeholders for this endeavor. One idea will be to improve recruitment and training for law enforcement. Another idea will be to address the root causes of the problem. A thriving economy with well-paying CAREERS will help with this problem. Working with Unions and making sure that our High-school school-aged children know that there are other options than college that can be fiscally and personally rewarding is a great place to start. Our Unions run schools that are affordable and lead to high-quality paying jobs in Construction and multiple other areas. Not only that, but there is a shortage of people in these jobs and that means getting top-dollar assignments soon after completion of a degree from one of these various schools.
ENVIRONMENT
Also, I am deeply committed to addressing the urgent challenges of climate change and environmental sustainability. By investing in renewable energy, implementing eco-friendly policies, and promoting conservation practices, we can protect our planet for future generations. I will work with our local interests, farmers, and small business owners to make this a reality. We must make sure that everyone sees that as beneficial for them on a fiscal scale as well as a moral imperative that will protect future generations.
INCLUSION & DIVERSITY
Lastly, I believe in fostering a sense of unity and inclusion within our diverse community. Our society is a mosaic of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives, and it's essential that we harness this diversity as a source of strength rather than division.
I recognize the importance of open dialogue and collaboration among different groups within our community. It's through these conversations that we can build bridges of understanding and empathy, breaking down stereotypes and fostering a climate of mutual respect. By working together and celebrating our differences, we can create a united community where every voice is heard and every perspective is valued.
